Under Construction, Tough Guy!

If you see "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan walking around the site with his 2x4 over the next couple days, it's because we're under construction. I'm kinda bored with the current layout and color scheme and our two-year anniversary is just around the corner, so no better time than now to make some changes. Your feedback is always welcome, so if you have any suggestions on how to make the site look better, feel free to leave a comment.

Thank you for your patience through this and thank you for your continued support of Kick-Out!! Wrestling.

*UPDATE*

Things are mostly done, might find a few kinks that need to be worked out over the next few days, but for the most part, this is the new look of the blog.  Let me know what you think!

  1. Loving what you've done so far. Much rejuvenated!

    Excellent :)

Happy almost 2 year anniversary ... it's weird saying that now that I am 8000 miles away from where I started this journey following kickout!

  2. I like it so far. Especially the logo. It's really refreshing.

The only thing I can see that's really wrong with it is that the page background isn't seamless, so it looks sort of awkward on highres monitors. I can take a stab at fixing it (or making a new one?) for you, if you'd like?

  3. I'm honestly not sure what you mean. I just used a Blogger template and everything looks fine on my end. Can you be more specific?

  4. Ah, just looked it up on the fiancee's 24-inch monitor, I see what you're talking about. I'll look into it.

  5. I whipped this up in Photoshop (I'm bored, sir) shortly after posting that comment. It's completely different from the shade of blue you've got going on in the background, but it matches the color scheme of the rising sun in your logo perfectly. The whole thing looks like this with that background.

Feel free to use it, if you'd like. Or not. It's all good.

  6. Dude, I really appreciate that.

Personally, I dig the darker background I got going on to match the text, but if I ever decide to change it I will definitely use that and of course, credit you for it. You're too kind.

But if you ever get bored again, I probably wouldn't complain. ;-)

  7. Am I the only one who liked the old theme better?

  8. No, you're not. This new theme looks incredibly generic. The old one at least tied the wrestling part in with the ring ropes. Sorry Razor, just not a fan.

  9. If anything, I always thought the old look was incredibly generic. Black and gray, with some black and gray and some black and gray. We're lucky no one tried to hang themselves from those ring ropes.

Perhaps we should incorporate some wrestling into the look though. I appreciate the feedback, good and bad.

  10. I like the blue and white look better, but I can't say that I love the logo in the header at all. Perhaps tie that in with wrestling?

  11. Sorry Razor, I'm not a fan of the new color scheme.

I love the alterations to the layout but that background is pretty horrible to lookout. I'm not really a fan of colors on the new logo either.

Luckily, the actual content of the site is just as good as ever! :)

Incidentally, we've added the site to our blog roll over on TWF! Keep up the good work!!

  12. What about the background would you like to see changed?

  13. Well, the actual idea of a blue background isn't bad, its the marbling style of it that's the problem.

  14. Dunno if you still check this out, but I've always been one for constructive criticism, rather than just telling somebody what I thinks wrong I like to give them an idea of what I think would be right.

So, that said, going off the style you're going for, here's two images ones very obviously the banner and the other one is a background (that should be repeated down the page).

If you like em, have em, but let me know what you think either way.

  15. After looking at the background for a few days, I decided to use horrorfixxx's, it just looks awesome the more I look at it. Thanks buddy!
