CoCT Round 1 - Southern Turnbuckle Conference

Before we take a look at the next round of voting, let's take a look at the results from the Eastern Turnbuckle:

Jeff Hardy (55%) d. Pedro Morales (45%)
Eddie Guerrero (92%) d. Diesel (8%)
Kurt Angle (88%) d. Yokozuna (12%)
Triple H (91%) d. Big Show (9%)

Mostly total blowouts in the later three matches, but I think the first match has to be considered the first upset of the tournament. Pedro Morales, who held the WWE Title for nearly three years in a single reign, lost to Jeff Hardy, who held it for 47 days, and I'm pretty sure didn't have a single successful defense, but hey, your vote is your vote! I'm going to attribute this to Pedro being a little before most readers' time (including my own, his entire reign was before I was born), but still an upset victory for Hardy. Here's the bracket so far:

Next up is the final set of matches from the first round! Here are the matches in the Southern Turnbuckle Conference, and you can vote in the polls to the right of your screen:

John Cena vs. Mankind (Mick Foley)
Randy Orton vs. Edge (timely)
"Superstar" Billy Graham vs. The Ultimate Warrior
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Sid (Vicious)

Voting will go for one week, unless it's another round of total blowouts, then I'll call it early.

  4. Who's voting for Warrior over Billy? That's my question.

Thus far my bracket's doing OK, actually. I only had Eddie going over Diesel wrong.
