The biggest night in the history of our sport!

It’s 6:30 am. Been up for hours. So excited I can’t sleep. TNA’s about to change forever. Can’t wait to share it w/you, my staff, the talent
-Dixie Carter

So it looks like TNA has a “major” announcement that’s going to redefine the company… what’s that, like the tenth one this year? You’ll have to forgive me if I fail to get excited for this, but TNA’s like the anti-Chicken Little at this point - while the sky crumbles around them, they act like it’s raining gold.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they’ve managed to wrangle the services of Paul Heyman, which will send the smarks into a frenzy of “RIP WWE, TNA 4 LIFE!!!!!!”, much like they did when the move to Monday nights happened, but will it translate to success? If Paul Heyman does in fact come to TNA, it will end one of three ways:

1. He quickly grows tired of dealing with Hogan & Bischoff and leaves.

2. Heyman produces quality television, but TNA’s business remains the same.

3. TNA wastes Heyman’s talent on ECW Invasion #863, which they can’t call “ECW,” won’t have any of the video history of ECW, and comes about one week too late thanks to WWE’s NXT Invasion angle.

If it's not Heyman, what else could be big enough to "change TNA forever" and not be a laughable disappointment? Goldberg? A major partnership with UFC? The long-awaited return of Bubba the Love Sponge?! Leave your guess in the comments, and prepare for your world to CHANGE!

  1. TNA has landed former WWE #1 contender Bob Holly.

  2. Hulk Hogan will eat some yoghurt... in the middle of the ring!

  3. Impact tapings move to a new city?

  4. I've changed my mind and now believe Dixie Carter's comments should be read more literally. Dixie referencing TNA changing forever seems less about TNA the company, more about TNA the name being changed to something else.

  5. Shane McMahon becomes majority owner of TNA
