  1. great episode, once again.

+ for me personally, i don't mind a Taker vs. Cena main event at 'Mania. i agree with you that it will be a very huge, EPIC match. they had that feud years ago, before Cena was the star he is now, and they had that whole respect story, i think it's time for it to be renewed.

now, what i don't like about it is that i'd rather see The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho. that feud is completely fresh. they had their first match last week and it was pretty good. now put these two guys on the stage of Wrestlemania, i think it can really be great.

these two guys are getting up in age, but are still two of the top guys in wrestling and always put on a great match when they need to.

The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho at WM 26.
The Undertaker vs. John Cena at WM 27.

+ i love Mark Cuban, i think he'll be an interesting guest host. he certainly is a bit controversial.

+ the Rock giving a little something back to the fans, who made him the star he is, is great to hear. whatever it is, i'm sure it'll be great.

  2. I would like for them to explore Undertaker/Jericho some more... but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Edge will be healthy in time for WrestleMania and that he'll be taking on Jericho instead.

  3. Edge did say when he was here in Australia that he definitely wants to be healthy for WM26.
    So fingers crossed indeed :)

  4. Aside from being a huge match in its own right, John Cena vs The Undertaker could be a legitimate opportunity to turn John Cena heel. I know it's a long shot when it comes to Cena, especially when you bring his merchandise sales into the equation. However, the value and prestige of The Undertaker's Wrestlemania streak can never be underestimated, and a Cena victory as a result of some form of outside interference would not only cause huge outrage among the smark community, but also among a huge number of the young WWE fans, who seem to love The Undertaker almost as much as Cena.

My friend actually suggested an idea to me that involved Theodore Long and Vince McMahon screwing over The Undertaker following an epic, evenly-contested match between 'Taker and Cena, leading to a handshake between Cena and Long/McMahon. McMahon would then tell Long, either on the night or the following day, that he was no longer on probation.

Such an angle might not be perfect, and my main concern would be that it might be a little too reminiscent of Wrestlemania 17, but there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that a Cena heel turn somewhere down the line is possibly the biggest event that could transpire in wrestling today.

Knowing the way many of the Cena haters work, though, a heel turn would probably end up getting him cheered by the smarks. Sometimes, you just can't win.

  5. Good point. Right now the casual fans cheer Cena, the 'smarks' boo Cena, but a heel turn would result in the exact reverse. Cena will always have a mixed reaction, no matter what.

And with Batista a heel now and Triple H possibly going the same way if DX face off, I don't see any reason to turn Cena too. Even if the bastard did eat my rice krispies. :(
