Here we go, the very first episode of our official podcast, Kick-Out!! Radio. In this episode, I tackle Mr. Kennedy's shocking release from WWE, internet wrestling "journalism," an encounter with Randy Orton and more! Hope you enjoy, please leave your comments below and please, share this with your fellow wrestling fans!
It sounds amazing! Seriously, really natural, really knowledgable. A super-stah is born. And by the way, I really hope Kennedy comes back too. I miss him already and it's only been a week!
Awesome start, sir. Your experience in radio makes this feel a lot more natural and comfortable than the other free wrestling podcasts I've heard. It's also the perfect length for a one man podcast, I think. I'll be checking it out every week from now on.
In fairness to Tomko and Albert, though, you must admit they both improved after WWE. I haven't seen a ton of Bernard matches, but Tomko has come a long way from his days as "that guy who fell on his ass in his debut."
Thanks for the feedback so far, everyone! Keep spreading the word to all your fellow fans.
Rated-R - Yeah, I wanted to keep it short, I can't stand podcasts that go on for an hour. Even with two people, there's only so much wrestling talk I can listen to before getting bored. 20-25 minutes is what I'm aiming for, standard length of your average half-hour television show when you factor in commercials.
And yeah, Tomko & Bernard definitely improved in Japan, I was just teasing the smarks a bit.
Probably poor wording on my part. Cena's obviously the biggest star of this generation, but Triple H is in a class all his own. He has joined that league of guys who may not be the ones you put on the cover of the magazines or put in movies, but he embodies the spirit of today's WWE.
For every Steve Austin & The Rock, there were guys like Undertaker and Mick Foley. In today's WWE, John Cena is in the former category while Triple H is in the latter.
Nice to see some sane coverage of wrestling. But I think you're being way to harsh on TNA.
You mentioned Christian. If you want to see his true talent hunt up the movie Dark Rising. He could be the next wrestler to become a movie star with a couple of breaks.
Fantastic stuff, you have a great voice for this sort of thing and you come off as knowledgable yet funny with it. I thought the show was well put together, the intro, outro and the drop were didn't seem out of place or unprofessional in anyway. I think you suffered from having a wide variety of topics to talk about, although that may be because I'm willing to sweep Kennedy under a rug and never hear from him again! Looking forward to the next show, and the release of Body verses Dick!
You can actually upload audio and post the links if you go to archive.org. They have a massive backlogue of stuff and you can simply post the direct link on here for download. While I never did anything with it, it works pretty great for the purpose and the files stay up from my experience.
You have a great radio voice, dude.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I really appreciate that. Hope you'll keep listening!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the first episode. Not too long, not too short. Can't wait to hear more!

ReplyDeleteTriple H is the biggest star of his generation, though? Dunno about that.

ReplyDeleteIt'll be up on YouTube soon, but it'll be in two parts since videos have to be under 10 minutes.
